Birth Doula Support
More than just your physical body gives birth. You give birth with your entire self. The way you are cared for and supported by your birth team will impact how you feel about your entire experience and will be remembered long after your birth.
We believe that every birthing person should be completely heard, respected, and centered during their pregnancy and birth experience.
While it’s hard to know the exact details of how your birth will go, the choices and conversations you have during your birth can make all the difference in how you feel about your experience. Our doulas are there to fully support you in the decisions you make for yourself and your baby during the process of pregnancy and birth. We bring evidence-based care, vast experience, and a calm presence to your birth team. We proudly bring inclusive and affirming support to all Marquette County and Upper Peninsula families.
Birth is a transformative experience and is completely unique to each person and family. Though birth can be unpredictable, your support team doesn’t have to be. We consider it an immense honor to be invited into your birthing team and show up fully to help you prepare for the birth you desire and, ultimately, the birth that unfolds.
Through prenatal visits, phone calls, and emails, we get to know you and help you discover your preferences while continually amplifying your desires and voice throughout the process. We bring education and support to partners so they can engage in whatever role they feel comfortable in, too. Throughout labor, birth, and in the first hour or more after you welcome baby, your doula will provide continuous nurturing care for you. While working alongside your care provider and medical team, we will hold to the truth that your experience matters, because you matter.
