05 Jun Nutritious and delicious eats – No-Bake Chocolate nut butter bars
Hey there! Rachel here from Steady Rhythm Wellness. As a new mama to my sweet baby girl, Finley, and a health coach passionate about helping others, I’m so excited to share another monthly nutrition blog with Doulas of Marquette!
Can you say no-bake chocolate nut butter bars?!!
This recipe is such a nice treat on a warm, sunny day. I doubled the recipe and brought a batch up to my camp for Memorial Day. They were a hit!! The bars are simple, flavorful, and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. This recipe has similar ingredients to the energy ball recipe I shared a couple of months ago. So, if you have the supplies around you can make a few different recipes to mix it up in your kitchen.
This recipe includes flaxseeds. Flaxseeds contain a wealth of nutrients. They are packed with omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fats. If you’re pregnant, they may take on a greater level of “essential-ness.” While alpha-linolenic acid, or ALA, and linoleic acid can only be absorbed from your diet, they can help make two other important types of fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid, or EPA, and docosahexaenoic acid, or DHA. Many studies suggest these fats, particularly EPA and DHA, bring several benefits to both moms-to-be and the babies they carry. Source
I hope you enjoy this delicious recipe – packed with lots of important nutrition essentials for you and your baby – as well as the whole family! We’d love to receive your pics and feedback! Check out the tags to Steady Rhythm Wellness and Doulas of Marquette for more great resources!
