In the spirit of Natural Medicine, a primary goal of Acupuncture Office Marquette is to provide our clients with a broader understanding of health and a more lasting sense of well-being. Instead of the traditional disease-centered approach of conventional medicine, natural medicine applies a client-centered approach that addresses the whole person rather than simply symptoms. We combine the discipline of modern science with the wisdom of ancient healing and take advantage of the knowledge of several disciplines including acupuncture, hypnotherapy, flower essences, supplements, essential oils, internal medicine and more. What this means is that client and provider work together to develop an integrated diagnostic and therapeutic plan that will best address the whole client.

Applying henna directly to the body is a creative new twist on an old tradition. Community Member Review:
“I started working with Dr. Brandon when I became pregnant last year. During those 9 months, between the advice he gave me in regards to my eating habits, activity, pregnancy, life stresses, etc… I had an amazingly enjoyable three trimesters. Dr. Brandon took in to account everything I was processing during that time and helped me to strive for a healthy balance. There is so much to know out there regarding pregnancy and having a baby, it can be overwhelming. With Dr. B and his staff, their goal is to get you back to center, back to nature, to have confidence in the human body doing what it should and giving you solid information to make the best informed decision for yourself and your baby. Since having my baby this spring, we both have been seeing Dr. Brandon and although my body has once again undergone some dramatic changes, it feels good knowing I am giving myself and my son the best opportunity for alignment and stability of wellness by working with Integrated Wellness Chiropractic.” -Jess J

Acupuncture is the insertion of ultra-thin, sterile needles into specific acupuncture points on the body which reside on channels or meridians; these are pathways in both the exterior and interior of the body. These points, when needled, can regulate the way in which the body functions. Acupuncture as it is practiced today is a safe, comfortable and cost effective treatment for many fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum health issues as well as for overall optimal health of mother and child.

Community Member Review:
“Throughout my pregnancy I regularly had prenatal massage with Jill Kangas at the Meridian. My growing belly was accommodated with pregnancy pillows so I could still lie on my stomach. To my surprise, when my belly outgrew the pillows, side lying massage was also very effective as well as relaxing. As my body changed I always felt flexible, balanced and relaxed. I couldn’t imagine going through pregnancy without seeing Jill on a regular basis.” Laura Gordon

My entrance into pregnancy photography came about as a passion and a dedication to help people see the beauty of this moment, to memorialize and cherish; each woman’s journey, each woman’s body and belly in miraculous transformation, and to especially give tribute to the gift of love and life. I also want to say how very grateful I am for my husband, each journey we’ve taken through pregnancy and the beautiful souls that have come through us to touch our hearts and change our world forever.
Thank you also to those of you that have continually inspired and supported my work with big bellies and little babes.

Harvey, MI 49855
At Lakewood Medical Associates, we provide a medical home for you and your family. We provide a full spectrum of family medicine from prenatal care to older adults. Lab services are also available on site.
Community Member Review:
“I highly recommend Dr. Jen Dehlin at the Lakewood Clinic in Harvey. She is wonderful. Truly believes in shared decision making and a collaborative approach to care. She listens and is willing to work outside the “routine” to meet individual needs. During your prenatal care, you meet with her for each and every visit. She also remains on call for her OB clients and most likely, she is the physician you will have for your birth. If there is a reason she cannot make it to her client’s birth, she and her partner, Dr. Emily Godec, share call and therefore, Dr. Godec would likely be the one attending your birth. It is comforting to feel that you truly know the people who will be with you during such an important life event.”

We utilize several different techniques for adjusting, with the primary being Koren Specific Technique (KST). There is no twisting, turning, “cracking” or “popping” of joints; instead you receive gentle, specific corrections to your spine and structural system. Most adjustments or corrections are done with you standing or sitting. KST is very gentle and yet very powerful. Patients usually notice dramatic changes from the first visit. Your body will likely hold its corrections for a much longer time with KST, so you can have deeper physical and emotional subluxations (stresses) added.
